June 1 marked the start of Pride Month, which celebrates and highlights the experiences and struggles of LGBTQI+ people. While Pride marches will be held all over France throughout the month (June 10 in Bordeaux, June 17 in Montpellier, June 24 in Paris and Avignon… the full list can be found right here), here is a selection of additional events not to be missed!
The Out d’Or 2023 ceremony in Paris
Sunday June 18 in Paris, the fifth edition of the Out d’Or ceremony will be held, organized by the Association of LGBTQI+ Journalists (AJL), which rewards journalists, activists or artists working for LGBTQI+ visibility. Barbara Butch, for example, won Personality of the Year at the 2021 ceremony, and this year, seven nominees will be decided by an online vote.
Drag queen La Briochée and journalist Linh-Lao Dao will officiate as masters of ceremonies for this event, which will gather up to 400 people and pay special attention to the specific themes of transidentity. The Cinepride festival in Nantes
An unmissable event in Nantes organized with Nosig, the LGBTQIA+ center of Nantes, the Cinépride festival has been held since 2003 at the Katorza cinema. This year he will take up residence in From Tuesday 13 June to Sunday 18 June.
For six days, viewers will be able to discover international and sometimes unreleased films, combining documentaries, features and shorts that celebrate the plurality of queer cinema. Some screenings will be followed by meetings with film crews or associations working in the field for LGBTQI+ rights.

Space 3013 in Marseille
From Wednesday 21 June to Friday 30 June, the 3013 cultural space in Marseille will host three photographic exhibitions: The glorious 30 by Sun Africa,” indivisible and visible by the Youth of the Refuge e Family » by the Consulate of Portugal and the Association of Gay and Lesbian Parents.
