Actor Viktor Sukhorukov left the Theater. Vakhtangov. The artist told StarHit that the reason for leaving was disagreements with colleagues. – that is, the actor, director and rector of the Theater Institute. Schukin Evgeny Knyazev. said.

The artist was paired with Knyazev when Rimas Tuminas put Sukhorukov in the second cast in the play “War and Peace”, the role of Nikolai Bolkonsky. But Sukhorukov did not manage to play – a conflict broke out between him and Knyazev. The artist noted that he was not against the second composition and did not try to compete with Knyazev, but could not convince his colleague of this. The artist suggested that this is a kind of professional jealousy. He himself highly appreciated the talent of Knyazev.

In the play “Smile at us, Lord” by Rimas Tuminas, in which he played for seven years, a replacement was found for him: Sergey Makovetsky played him in the last production.

Although the artist left the theater, he does not consider his career to be complete.

In addition to theatrical activities, Viktor Sukhorukov is known for his film roles in such films as “Brother”, “Brother-2”, “Blind Man’s Buff” and others.

Earlier it became known that the director Rimas Tuminas left the post of artistic director of the Theatre. Vakhtangov. Tuminas was at the center of a scandal over an online audio recording of the director allegedly speaking out against Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine and criticizing the government. As it was known later, this recording turned out to be fake and its director was established.

Tuminas is now in Lithuania and is receiving treatment here, but as the director of the Theatre. Vakhtangov Kirill Krok continues to participate in theatrical life.
