Madeleines are the best of snacks. Too bad for the others, I’m just happy to establish a universal truth, and yes.
If you’re tired of buying stuff full of sugar, fat and little taste at the supermarket, all with an unclear list of ingredients, here’s my personal recipe for madeleines that I’m sharing with you, I hope everyone agrees.
Just one thing: know that if you want to make this recipe, you’ll need it do it in advance, because the dough must rest overnight in the fridge. It’s not mandatory, but it’s best if you want your madeleines to be all moist and fluffy.
The easy recipe of natural madeleines
To make this recipe you will need:
- 180 g of butter
- 180 g of flour
- 3 eggs
- 90 g of sugar
- 30 g of honey
- 60ml of milk
- 1 sachet of baking powder
Once all the ingredients have been gathered, let’s move on to the preparation. In a salad bowl, mix the eggs and sugar very strongly with a whisk, until the mixture turns white. Then you can add the flour and baking powder.
In a pot, mix milk with honey and butterwithout the mixture starting to boil. You did everything? Well, mix the two preparations together and presto, stays in the fridge overnight.
The next day, put preheat the oven to 220°C. Pour your preparation into the madeleine molds and cook everything 5 minutes at this temperature, then 10 minutes at 180°C.
And now, it’s ready! Say hello to the fluffiest, tastiest madeleines of France and Navarre, that’s right. If you wish, during the preparation, you can add the chocolate drops, the pistachio dropsor whatever you like (I don’t recommend tabasco, don’t overdo it either).
