One of Us season 2 filming delayed due to writers’ strike

On May 2, the Screenwriters Guild of the United States announced a large-scale strike, as a result of which it was necessary to suspend the production of new series and new seasons of already old projects.

According to Variety’s report, work on the One of Us project, starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, has been suspended. It was noted that the casting team started to do the auditions without a writer, which caused some disagreements in the team.

Filming for the series was supposed to begin in Vancouver in early 2024. But even if the conflict is resolved in the near future, filming will begin only in the middle of next year.

It was noted that critics called the “One of Us” series the best video game adaptation of all time – the first season of the project received more than 22 million views.

We previously reported that production of the final fifth season of Stranger Things has been delayed indefinitely due to the writers’ strike. This was said by the authors of the project, the Duffer brothers, on their personal blog.
