Fans of the movie better sit down now. Production of the final fifth season of Stranger Things has been delayed indefinitely. This was reported by the authors of the project, the Duffer brothers, on their personal blog.
The Writers Guild of America strike had serious consequences. The Duffer brothers explained that the script was constantly changing during production, but still did not lead to a consensus on the writers, so it didn’t even make sense for the team to start filming.
“We were excited to start production with our amazing cast and crew, but that’s not possible during the strike. We hope a fair deal can be reached as soon as possible and we can get back to work. Until then, the end of communication, ”said the producers.
Filming for the fifth season of the show was scheduled for June. The authors have stated that they plan to use the ideas that for some reason did not make it into the second season.
