


craig moyer, one of the jurors alex murdaugh murder trial, discussed how quickly the jury was able to reach a guilty verdict in the trial in a new interview with Good morning America Friday, March 3, before Murdaugh received two life sentences. When the jury began deliberation, he said there were nine jurors who believed Murdaugh was guilty, while two thought he was not, and one was not sure. He said that between 45 minutes and an hour after deliberation began, the jurors “get it.”

Craig, who works as a carpenter, admitted that the video that was shown from the day of Murdaugh’s wife maggie and son Pablo were killed in the hunting lodge kennels was what finalized his decision. “The evidence was clear,” Craig said. “You can hear his voice clearly, just like everyone else.” The jury said they were “shocked” when the former lawyer admitted it was him in the video. “That was his only savior there,” he said.
When asked what made Craig “sure” of Murdaugh’s guilt, the juror said the attorney’s “answers” were what cemented him as a liar. “Your answers. How quick he was with the defense and his he lies. Constant lies,” he said. “A good liar, but not good enough.”

When asked about Murdaugh’s emotional testimony, the juror said he could not see real emotions or even real tears while on the witness stand. “I didn’t think much about him. I didn’t see any real remorse or sympathy or anything,” he said. “He never cried. All he did was blow the snot. Without tears. I have seen your eyes.

Murdaugh received two life sentences to be served concurrently on Friday. He received sentences for each of the murders after being convicted on Thursday 2 March. At sentencing, Murdaugh pleaded that he was still innocent and swore he had harmed his wife and his son.
