Lea Michele will return as Fanny Brice on Broadway Funny girl Tomorrow’s shows were missed this week due to an unspecified health problem that required her two-year-old son to be hospitalized.
In an Instagram Story post today, Michele wrote: “Thank you for all your good wishes this past week. We will soon be bringing our son home from the hospital. Thank you to all the wonderful doctors and hospital staff. I will be back this weekend to the @FunnyGirlBwy stage.
Michele posted on Instagram on Wednesday that she is missing performances this week because her son has a “scary health issue.”
“I’m so sorry, but unfortunately I won’t be on @FunnyGirlBwy today,” she wrote. “We are in the hospital with our son who is dealing with a scary medical condition that I need to be here for.” Julie Benko filled in for Michele’s absence.
Michele and husband Zandy Reich are the parents of two-year-old Ever Leo Reich.
