This TikTokeuse parodies the models’ absurd poses and is hilarious

Remi Bader has more than 2 million subscribers on TikTok who are addicted to his ‘cams’. She there she buys clothes that don’t look like the models, even copying their posture! And she creates hilarious body-positive videos that question what big size really is.

Of course, on the 1.80m, 50kg skinny model, the clothes always look more or less good. But in real life, when you’re not gaulée like a Victoria’s Secret Angel, the gap between online store fantasy and reality is staggering!

Remi Bader, a plus size model, decided to laugh it off by posting realistic Hauls on her TikTok account.

The impossibility of finding its dimension among exclusive designs

In his videos, tries out what he ordered and reproduces the sometimes absurd poses of the models in the clothes in question. Enough to show how you can find yourself in really weird positions when you’re modeling. But also how much the design of some garments can be excluded of certain morphologies!

Not to mention the hassle of finding the right size, as brands never get along with each other, ewe should guess what it will look like based on a body with extremely rare measurements…

“It’s not our body’s fault, it’s the brands”

Asked by vogue American, Remi Bader explains how she got started:

“I’ve always enjoyed sending photos to my friends that show how the clothes I’m wearing never look like what you see on brand sites. I made a video of it after an order of Pretty Little Things – no dress that should have been in my size really fits me. […] Since it went viral, I keep doing these hauls to prove that the fault is not with our bodies, but with brands. »

Near vogue always, even the TikTokeuse remembers it the number on the label means nothing as it can vary from one brand to anotherthen it is better to know its measures:

“All sites have a specific size guide that can best be consulted. I typically wear 14-16, but sometimes 18 with certain brands, XXL or even medium. It varies so much that it’s best to accept that you’re not the same size everywhere. Knowing your measurements makes shopping so much easier. »

Beyond the self-irony he demonstrates and the laughs he gives us, Remi Bader is already attracting the attention of brands… Who are then forced to ask themselves questions about their dimensional proposals and their design to make them more inclusive. As for the crazy model poses, we really want you to keep it up, it’s so much fun!
