Rogers: The Musical, referenced in Hawkeye, debuts at Disneyland Resort this summer

In a move that will help bring the “meta” into the Metaverse, today Disney has a one-act play called tease. Rogers: The Musical debuts this summer for a limited run on the Hyperion Stage at California Adventure Park at Disneyland Resort.

For those who don’t know Rogers: The Musical was first mentioned in the Disney+ series hawk eye. In the first episode of the show, Clint Barton visits the show with his family. All the Avengers are invited to the premiere of the musical in New York, but only Barton shows up. The MIA Avengers don’t know what they’re missing, though, as viewers are treated to a musical number based on The Battle of New York…although a few creative liberties have been taken here and there.

The series includes a song written by the award-winning songwriting team behind it hair spray, shredderAnd Mary Poppins returns – Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman – with Shaiman also producing the actual recording of the song.

While casting and plot details for the musical debut aren’t public this summer, it’s a good bet that Shaiman and Wittman are involved. Given the looks of the trailer, Peggy Carter will too.
