Youngest Media, the British entertainment producer behind MTV’s game of clones and that of NBC small fortuneends after seven years.
The company was founded in 2016 by former Endemol Shine executives Lucas Church and David Flynn and counted Elisabeth Murdoch as a backer until 2021.
Accountancy firm Menzies LLP has been appointed to close Youngest into “voluntary” liquidation in the coming weeks.
Flynn and Church said: “We thought we had weathered the storm of the pandemic, but the impact on cash flow and the creative pipeline really hit us last year and some key show decisions didn’t go our way, so we unfortunately the latest has closed.” .

The manufacturer’s most recently released accounts for 2020 showed it had £3.4m of debt, including an almost £3m loan from a shareholder due to be repaid in May last year. The accounts did not disclose which of the youngest shareholders advanced the loan.
Youngest, named after Flynn and Church as the last born in their family, started with the ambition to create entertainment programs that could work online or in games.

Murdoch resigned as a shareholder in November 2021.
