EXCLUSIVE: BuzzFeed’s original digital properties are getting the long-form treatment.
Original digital properties from the publisher’s BuzzFeed Animation Labs unit, such as Boggs country is being developed by digital channel operator Frederator Network as a long-form series.
Frederator Studios will have exclusive right of first refusal to develop and produce the programs and will be their global distribution agent, and Genius Brands International’s consumer products division will develop a retail program with BuzzFeed. Genius Brands owns Frederator’s parent, WOW! Unlimited media.
