Vladimir Putin is about to launch “unstoppable” hypersonic Zircon missiles during his upcoming war games with China and South Africa.

The new nuclear-capable Mach-9 Zircon missiles, which travel at speeds of nearly 11,000 km/h, will be launched from the Russian warship Admiral Gorshkov during naval exercises off the coast of South Africa.

The missile’s “training launch”, one of the world’s deadliest weapons, will be aimed at a “surface target” more than 500 kilometers away.

The impending launch of the deadly missiles comes after Admiral Gorshkov last week carried out an “electronic” launch on an “enemy surface target” while sailing in the western Atlantic off the coast of the United States.

The Zircon missiles are now also fired from the Russian frigate during naval exercises between Russia, China and South Africa in the Indian Ocean.

The imminent launch of the deadly missiles follows Admiral Gorshkov’s last week when he conducted an “electronic” launch on an “enemy surface target” while sailing off the coast of the United States in the western Atlantic Ocean.

The three countries will participate in the war games on the east coast of South Africa near the cities of Durban and Richards Bay on February 17-27.

“During the upcoming exercise with the navies of South Africa and China, a practice launch of a Zircon hypersonic missile will be carried out, the first ever on such an occasion,” a source told Russia’s state news agency TASS.

The Gorshkov was closely watched by the NATO fleet throughout her mission, armed with the Mach 9 weapon with a top speed of 6,670 mph and a maximum range of 625 miles.

The frigate also carries Kalibr missiles, a type used in the Russian war in Ukraine.

Last month, it emerged that the warship had staged war games and conducted an electronic launch of the Zircon missiles off the US coast after veering off course.

Horrifying footage showed the Russian Navy preparing for a nuclear launch as the hatch was opened to prepare for the launch of the deadly missile.

“The electronic launch and the work of the combat team on board confirmed the design features of the missile system demonstrated during the preliminary and state tests,” the ship’s captain Igor Krokhmal said at the time.
