Brands Max Factor, Rimmel, Max Factor, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein and other cosmetics company Coty leave Russia
Coty cosmetics concern, which includes cosmetic brands such as Guess, Adidas, Balenciaga, Dolce & Gabbana, Davidoff, Gucci, Hugo Boss, Marc Jacobs, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Calvin Klein, Miu Miu, Tiffany & Co, Max Factor, Bourjois, Rimmel, CoverGirl and others decided to suspend their work in Russia due to Russia’s military special operation in Ukraine. It was reported by Reuters, citing a company statement.
Coty concluded that the withdrawal from the Russian market would not affect the company’s 2022 revenue projections: at the end of last year, Russia accounted for about 3% of the group’s sales.
Previously, several Western brands, including Zara, H&M, Uniqlo, L’Occitane, L’Oreal and others, announced that they were leaving Russia due to the socio-political situation and last week Essity (brands Zewa, Libresse, Libero).
