In the past week, several scandals have erupted around Wildberry and Ozone at the same time. Both are associated with the sale of lipolytics for weight loss and fillers for face contouring. In reviews of drugs on the markets (they managed to remove it quickly), the girls tell about how hematomas appear on the body after using lipolytics on their own, and after injections of fillers there is a burning sensation. Wildberry’s representatives have already withdrawn the drugs from sale, but they can still be found in some markets.
Two things are surprising here – the girls carry out such procedures on their own, and online stores allow the sale of drugs without checking their quality and certificate. We are talking about why it is impossible to prescribe medication without the supervision of a doctor, and which specialist to contact if something goes wrong.
Why are drugs sold in markets?
The safety and effectiveness of medical devices and drugs for injectable cosmetology is always justified by the presence of: registration certificate. Its validity can be checked on the official website of Roszdravnadzor in the registration of registered medical devices. Therefore, only a certified specialist or a person with a medical license can buy it, if the person doing the filler has a certificate.
However, fillers without registration certificate are also sold. This either happens illegally, or the manufacturer specifically positions the product as a medicine for external use, and not for injection. You do not need a doctor’s degree to buy such drugs, anyone can buy them.
In the drug reviews that sparked excitement in the markets, many buyers requested product licenses from the seller, but received no response. This may indicate that the drug is not registered in the medical devices register and therefore cannot be approved for sale. Especially in the market where anyone can buy it.
After many publications on the current issue on Telegram channels, the representative of the Wildberry press service replied: “Several sellers have violated the rules for selling goods on the online platform, their products are currently being removed from the platform.” But then another question arises – why did the platform not check the certification of the seller and his goods?
Why can’t you buy medicine without a license?

Ekaterina Anchikova, beautician, dermatologist, dermatovenerologist
“All fillers that are not obtained from official distributors and that do not have a license are very dangerous. No one is responsible for their quality. We do not know how the drugs were smuggled across the border. Maybe they were frozen or, on the contrary, were standing near the radiator. All this affects their quality and poses a great risk for the next procedure. If you decide to give yourself an injection to save money, a very serious inflammatory process may occur after the procedure. A questionable drug can contribute to the appearance of fibrosis and scarring in the future. Often, people develop an allergic reaction and super-reaction to all subsequent cosmetic procedures. In addition, the immunity can be seriously affected, since any injection of dangerous drugs into the face area causes the process of immune activation. People begin to get sick often and seriously, with various respiratory diseases that turn into chronic.
Why can’t lipolytics and fillers be applied on their own?
“With the introduction of lipolytic drugs, various complications can arise due to improper technique, poor-quality raw materials or individual characteristics of the body,” says Elena Lomanova, cosmetologist, dermatovenerologist and chief physician of the Tonus Center + medical center.
“It is very important to observe the correct depth of drug application, volume of septic and antiseptic. Each region has special techniques, a certain technique and even its own needle. There are many nuances and only a qualified doctor can know them. If you do not comply with these, you can inject the drug into the wrong structures, and very superficially enter a large blood vessel or muscle tissue. All this can lead to complications. And if a person has concomitant diseases (liver disease, kidney disease, diabetes), the risk of self-administration of funds increases several times,” warns Elena Lomanova.

According to beautician, dermatologist Ekaterina Anchikova, the easiest complication after fillers is lumps when the drug is injected into the wrong layer or in the wrong area. In addition, unpleasant sensations may occur if it is not plastic and does not have the desired viscosity (low raw material). In addition to clumping, such a drug can compress blood vessels and nerves, which can lead to consequences such as inflammation, ischemia or thrombosis of arteries or veins, as well as much more serious complications.
It should also be remembered that before any procedure, the doctor conducts a thorough examination and tests to ensure the patient’s health, because not everyone can be injected with lipolytics and fillers. Therefore, it is dangerous for health to buy unlicensed drugs, and even more so, to apply them without the supervision of a specialist.
What should you do if you have already injected the medicine?
First, never do it again. Secondly, consult a doctor immediately.

Elena Lomanova, beautician, dermatovenereologist and chief physician of the Tonus Center + medical center
“If you do not consult a specialist in time, a scar or hematoma may occur at the injection site. But actually, this is not the worst outcome. All of the above can lead to general intoxication of the body. Therefore, as soon as you feel any discomfort, you should immediately go to the doctor. Giving yourself an injection is like doing plastic surgery at home. Impossible”.
A competent dermatovenerologist-cosmetologist can help remove fillers. Ekaterina Anchikova says that after improper use of questionable fillers, a specialist can treat with a drug containing hyaluronidase. The component will break the bonds between the components of the filler and the body will remove it. If an active inflammatory process has begun, systemic antibiotic therapy is prescribed and the use of antibacterial ointments is recommended.
Often recovery after incorrect procedures takes several times more money and time than the procedure itself. However, the scar left by such interventions on the human body is much more serious and cannot always be repaired. Therefore, never save on your health – trust your face and body only in the hands of specialists, do not try the procedures at home, and always check the registration certificates of drugs (even with masters).
