‘FBOY Island’: HBO Max Greenlights Local Editions in Denmark, Spain, Sweden, Netherlands

fboy Island, The popular American dating series will be available as local versions on HBO Max in Denmark, Spain, Sweden and the Netherlands.

Warner Bros. International Television Production (WBITVP) will produce a show in each space that HBO says is its biggest debut since the debut of the Max Original reality series. According to HBO, the audience is growing every week.

ᲨCreator Licence Elan Gail, The series follows three women who move to a tropical island and are joined by 24 men: 12 self-proclaimed “beautiful boys” looking for love and 12 self-proclaimed “FBoys” vying for money.

Women go to the dating pool in hopes of finding a lasting love affair. As the series progresses, everything becomes clear: who is the “beautiful boy”, who is the “FBoy” and who is ultimately chosen by the women.

The Local Versions Quartet is HBO Max’s largest unscripted venture to date as it moves forward in Europe and beyond traditional premium dramas and documentaries.

“The cornerstone of our original Max production strategy in Europe is to create a script-free page,” said Anthony Ruth, who heads HBO Max originals in EMEA. “Max’s successful adoption of the US format and the adaptation of the franchise for many markets in our region reflect this passion.
