According to the source, he will not return to Russia to testify in the event that his property worth 70 million rubles in the village of Peredelki in the Odintsovo region is stolen. He is the victim in the lawsuit filed at the request of Chubais in 2017. The main defendant in the case is Chubais’ former business partner, Ilya Suchkov. The hearing, which was supposed to be held on April 27, was postponed by the court due to the absence of the injured party and one of the witnesses.
At the end of March, Anatoly Chubais left Russia, resigning from the post of special presidential envoy, which he held since December 2020. Later, he and his wife, director Avdotya Smirnova, were noticed in Istanbul.
