Lionsgate and director Antoine Fuqua, best known for My Name Is Muhammad Ali, The Mayor of Kingstown, The Great Equalizer and Training Day, will be working on a biography of Michael. Principal photography will begin this year.

Coincidentally, Graham King, who had worked on Bohemian Rhapsody, was a producer, along with John Branca and John McClain, who carried on the legacy of Michael Jackson. The script was written by John Logan of Gladiator.
The film will “give viewers an unprecedented and profound portrayal of a complex man who has become the king of pop. According to Lionsgate, the film will examine every aspect of Michael’s life, including his most iconic performances that led to him becoming the greatest entertainer of all time.
