The BBC’s live coverage of an FA Cup match between Wolves and Liverpool was marred by an apparent British pornographic prank on Tuesday night.
In an unusual incident, Gary Lineker was anchoring the live build-up to the replay at Molineux Stadium when he was interrupted by what sounded like sex noises coming from the studio.
The former England player looked amazed at the noise in the studio and joked to colleague Alan Shearer: “I don’t know who makes that noise… It’s nice and warm in this studio, it’s also a bit noisy. I don’t know if someone is sending something on someone’s cell phone, or if it’s a joke. I don’t know if you heard it at home.”
Surely nobody is that excited about an FA Cup third round replay? 👀

After repeated interruptions, he turned to pundit Danny Murphy and smiled: “Stop making those noises, Danny.” Murphy replied, “I’m not.”
Lineker later tweeted a photo of a phone he said was taped to the back of the device in apparent sabotage.
We found it taped to the back of the kit. As far as sabotage goes, it was pretty funny. 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/ikUhBJ38Je

“I think nothing to complain about,” he added in another tweet with a screenshot of the BBC’s coverage, which is trending on Twitter.
Daniel Jarvis, a YouTube comedian, later claimed he was behind the prank.
