Gadi Schwartz now anchors NBC News at 8 p.m.;  The show will originate in Los Angeles

Gadi Schwartz will anchor the 8:00 PM ET hour on NBC News Now, filling the time slot on the network streaming channel following Joshua Johnson’s departure in November.

Now tonight with Gadi Schwartz will launch next month, Janelle Rodriguez, the senior vice president and editor in chief who oversees NBC News Now, wrote in a memo to employees.

“You can expect this show to be packed with intelligent and deep reporting with the energy and versatility that Gadi is known to bring to the screen,” she wrote, adding that he will be anchored from Los Angeles, “which is about . ” one of them does the few national news programs that come out of the west coast every day.”
