The royal household of "La Promesa" faces a week of upheaval, as the show's writers confirmed the king's ratification of Curro's earldom of Linaja will clear the way for his wedding to Ángela, even as the revelation of Duke Máximo's illegitimate daughter throws the family into scandal.
The soap, produced by Bambú Media for Radio Televisión Española (RTVE), airs in the afternoon slot on La 1. Its new run of episodes opens with the king formally granting Curro the earldom of Linaja along with the Luján surname, removing the last formal obstacle to his marriage to Ángela.
That celebratory mood is quickly overshadowed. News breaks in the press of Máximo's illegitimate daughter, a revelation the duke reportedly takes with notable detachment even as suspicion and accusations over who leaked the story fall on Leocadia and Lorenzo.
Curro and Ángela's path to the altar
With the king's recognition of his title and surname, Curro finally has the standing needed to marry Ángela without institutional objection. The storyline has followed his long struggle to secure a place within the family, and this week's ratification marks the resolution of that arc, at least on paper, just as the household is plunged into a fresh crisis.
Julieta and Manuel's secret romance under strain
Away from the scandal, tension builds in the hangar storyline. Julieta and Manuel return to daily life after secretly slipping away together behind the palace's back, only to find they cannot sustain their relationship openly.

Julieta, cornered by Ciro's abuses as he tries to seize control of the motor licence, will press Manuel, heir to the marquisate, to hold firm in the commercial negotiations. That firmness comes at a cost: Manuel will be forced to silently endure Ciro's snubs in order to protect the patent from greater damage.
Kitchen staff exodus leaves palace without cooks
The service quarters face an unprecedented logistical crisis after Simona and Candela suddenly quit. Worn down by Julio's demands and treatment of them, the two cooks leave the palace's kitchen unstaffed.
Cristóbal and Teresa are left to find improvised solutions at the local tavern before ultimately taking over the cooking themselves. The fallout sparks a bitter clash between the household staff and those in charge, forcing the marquess to step in directly with Máximo to demand that Julio show restraint toward his subordinate.
Blackmail plot targets Martina, Adriano and Jacobo
The bitterest turn of the coming episodes plays out in the love triangle between Martina, Adriano and Jacobo. After discovering the affair, Jacobo delivers an uncompromising ultimatum: either the couple ends their relationship for good, or he exposes a self-serving version of events to the entire family that would destroy the young woman's reputation.
With no room to manoeuvre and no one to turn to for support, the two lovers end up accepting the ultimatum rather than risk the palace's social collapse.
