A California judge has granted Kris Jenner and her family a permanent restraining order against Kyle Robert DeWick, 40, a man accused of stalking Kylie Jenner, according to court documents obtained by The Daily Mail.
The order, which lasts three years and is due to expire on July 31, 2029, extends a temporary restraining order the family was granted in May.
The Kardashian-Jenner family, led by matriarch Kris Jenner, rose to fame on reality television and includes Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, founder of the cosmetics brand Kylie Cosmetics.
The court has ordered DeWick to stay at least 100 yards away from Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and Robert Kardashian. He is also barred from contacting them or attempting to obtain their addresses.
Origins of the alleged stalking
According to Kris's court filing, the family's ordeal with DeWick dates back to 2021, when he repeatedly tried to see Kylie at her home. Kylie's security asked him to leave, but he allegedly persisted until he was arrested for trespassing on his fifth attempt.
Kris said she had been told DeWick believed she had sent him messages in 2021 acknowledging his love for Kylie and encouraging him to propose to her at her house. Kris denied ever having "any relationship with DeWick," writing in her declaration: "I certainly would never tell a stranger to go to my daughter's home."
She said DeWick filed a federal petition in 2024 demanding "access" to the Kardashian-Jenners and accusing Kris, Kylie, Kendall and Kim of surveilling him and "interfering" with what he believed was a relationship with Kylie. Kris denied placing him under surveillance but said "his claims and his anger at me are extremely concerning," adding that she had suffered "severe emotional distress and anxiety" because of him.
Recent attempts to get close
Kris alleged DeWick tried twice in recent months to get close to the family by contacting realtors about homes for sale by, or near, her relatives. She said he gained access to her community and toured a home within a mile of her house and her children's homes, and that he tried to contact her family's neighbors.
Citing DeWick's criminal history and claiming he had repeatedly traveled from Colorado to California to gain access to the family, Kris said in her filing that she was terrified of what he might do to her and her children.
Her filing included a declaration from John Romero, director of investigations at the private security firm Kris has hired for her protection. Romero said DeWick toured a property adjacent to Kim Kardashian's home, once owned by her third ex-husband Kanye West, and made "pointed inquiries" about the neighbors, insisting on meeting them before making an offer. The unusual request prompted the seller to contact Romero's company.
Security firm's findings
Romero also said DeWick contacted a realtor about a property Kylie was selling, then submitted a proof-of-funds document the realtor suspected was fake. Romero said he spoke to DeWick by phone and determined that DeWick believed one of the Kardashian-Jenners, whom Romero deduced was Kylie, was in love with him and had been pursuing him for years.
Romero's declaration said he investigated DeWick's legal history and found news reports that he had once broken into a residence and assaulted a sleeping 21-year-old man with a bedside lamp. A 2011 report in the upstate New York newspaper The Leader detailed such a crime committed by a man named Kyle R. DeWick, whose age matched that of the man named in Kris's restraining order request.
One exhibit in Kris's filing was a copy of what she said was the federal petition DeWick filed against her in 2024. The document, purportedly written by DeWick, stated: "I was encouraged to fall in love with someone who publicly stated they agreed, who still publicly states they are in love with me, but chose to impregnate themselves without me, as an affront, further complicating the public perception and protections provided to me as an individual."
"Kyle Robert Dewick is a stalker. I have no relationship whatsoever with him," Kris said in her application for the restraining order.
The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for the Kardashian family and DeWick for comment.
