Kelly Clarkson had a wardrobe mishap on stage in Las Vegas on Saturday during her Studio Sessions residency at Caesars Palace. A gust of wind lifted the 44-year-old singer's sheer shirt while she was chatting with the audience, revealing a lacy black bra underneath.

"There's a lot of amazing things happening," Clarkson began before stopping abruptly. "Uh oh, there's my boobs," she joked, pulling her flowy, cropped, burnt orange blouse back over her midriff. "They're too small, they won't come out," she added, before insisting, "They're not going anywhere. They're perfect."

Clarkson then explained the moment through the lens of the Lion's Gate Portal, an astrological event that took place on August 8. "I'm gonna be honest with you, somebody was like, 'It's the Lion's Gate Portal. It's 8/8. There's so much energy out, don't speak negatively,' [so] right when I made a self-deprecating joke, I'm like, 'Just kidding, universe, my boobs are awesome!'" she said.

Stage stories and family loss
Clarkson's shows are known for intervals of funny anecdotes. On Saturday night she told fans, "I got texts all last night, like, 'Don't gossip, don't speak ill of anyone or yourself, put things out there that you want...' I was like, shouldn't we be doing this s*** every day? I don't know if it should just be tomorrow." As the crowd laughed, she added, "But it's in my head, so as soon as I self-deprecation, I was like, 'Just kidding!'"
Clarkson shares daughter River, 12, and son Remy, 10, with her late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, who died from melanoma at age 48 in August 2025. A source recently told Page Six that Clarkson is navigating "incredibly hard" moments as she helps her children cope, saying, "Losing a parent at such a young age is something no child should ever have to go through. Kelly has done everything she can to be there for River and Remy as they've navigated that loss. Her focus has been making sure they feel loved, supported and as stable as possible while giving them the space to grieve in their own way."

Life after Blackstock and the end of her talk show
Clarkson has been single since her split from Blackstock in 2020, and their divorce was finalized in 2022.
In February, Clarkson announced she would step away from The Kelly Clarkson Show after seven years to spend more time with her children. During a July performance at Caesars Palace, she quipped, "I would get fired by NBC but I don't work there anymore." The daytime talk show premiered on September 9, 2019, and ran for seven seasons.
Last month, Clarkson told her eight million Instagram followers that the show, which concludes this fall, received 11 Daytime Emmy nominations. "Thank y'all so much! I'm so stoked for our whole team and feeling very blessed," she wrote.
