Katie Price Fancies Herself After NTAs Cosmetic Surgery

Television personality and former glamour model Katie Price declared it is the first time in 48 years she can look in the mirror and fancy herself after attending the National Television Awards at London's O2 Arena on Tuesday night, just hours after undergoing fresh cosmetic surgery.

The 48-year-old media figure walked the red carpet at the star-studded ceremony despite having noticeable swelling and bruising around her eyes following breast augmentation and facial filler procedures carried out in Brussels earlier in the day.

Price, who first achieved widespread fame in the late 1990s as a glamour model before building a career across reality television, publishing, and fashion, has undergone dozens of cosmetic operations over the past three decades. The National Television Awards, held annually at Greenwich's O2 Arena, is one of the UK's most prominent television events, celebrating popular broadcasting talent as voted for by the public.

Determined to make her scheduled appearance on the red carpet despite her fresh surgical marks, Price enlisted makeup artist Mitchell Halliday, founder of the beauty brand Made by Mitchell, to transform her look. In a video shared by Halliday on his Instagram account, Price had an emotional reaction when she saw the finished results, which featured glittering eye makeup, bold black eyeliner, highlight, and heavily brown-lined lips.

Delighted with the transformation, Price told Halliday: "I can actually say when I hate myself, I can look in the mirror and say 'I fancy that, she looks good looking here'. I do!" She added: "First time in 48 years I can look and go 'I actually look a sort.'"

Revealing that this was the first time she had worked with the makeup artist, Price insisted he would now have to accompany her to all future events. "This is the new me, you're going to have to come everywhere with me," she told him. "You are the ultimate, there is not a better make-up artist than you."

Expressing her astonishment at how effectively he had concealed her recent surgical marks, she asked: "Considering what I looked like before, how have you done that? I had all them bruises from yesterday." She added: "You're not going anywhere, the new man in my life."

Red Carpet Appearance and Outfit Details

To cover up her new breast implants on the red carpet, Price paired a long-sleeved white shirt with a racy pair of nude and black lace hot pants, black tights, and black high heels. She styled her hair gelled back in a wet-look effect and accessorised the ensemble with large diamond Valentino earrings.

Price arrived at the ceremony alongside her 19-year-old daughter Princess. The teenager provided a striking contrast to her mother's revealing outfit, choosing a shimmering blue ballgown for the awards show.

Cosmetic Surgery Details in Brussels

Earlier on Tuesday, Price took to Instagram to share the immediate aftermath of her procedures shortly after flying back from Brussels, Belgium. Showing off her enlarged breast implants and a visible black eye to her followers, she asked: "So everyone it is National TV Awards. What did Price do yesterday?"

Explaining the reasoning behind her latest surgical trip to Belgium, Price revealed that she sought treatment to correct an imbalance between her breasts. "So, I went to Brussels because one of my boobs was still slightly bigger than the other," she explained. "So, they put a new implant in and while they were there, I said, 'Oh, go on, just put a bit more in both of them.'"

Price also received dermal filler injections in her face during the same operation to add volume to hollow areas that develop naturally with age and weight loss. "Where my face was hollow here as you get older and lose weight, he put filler in for me, obviously while I was asleep," she said, noting that the practitioner administered the filler deep under the muscle right into the bone.

However, the procedure resulted in unexpected facial swelling. "I've woken up this morning, I didn't have anything put here, nothing, but I think the swelling has dropped so I look like a hamster and it's sore," Price told her followers. Undeterred by the swelling, her bandaged breasts, and her black eye, she confirmed her determination to get her hair and makeup done for the red carpet.

Documentary Appearances and Surgical History

Price's appearance at the awards ceremony comes following the broadcast of Sky's four-part documentary series Katie Price: Nothing To Hide, which examined her three decades of public life and media coverage.

Last month, she also made a guest appearance on ITV's Price Of Perfection, a television program hosted by reality star Olivia Attwood that explores cosmetic procedures. Price has undergone extensive surgery over her career, including six face lifts, 17 breast augmentations, dental work, and a fox-eye operation, having previously increased her cup size earlier in the summer.

During her interview on Price Of Perfection, Attwood asked Price to estimate the total number of surgical procedures she had undergone. "Oh my god, that's really hard," Price replied. "Maybe about 30 or 40? I must have done."

Attwood also questioned her regarding the financial cost of her surgeries, asking whether her operations were a mix of paid and complimentary treatments. Price acknowledged that her celebrity status had allowed her to receive many free procedures, estimating that she had paid only a fraction of their total value. However, she maintained that she could fund her own operations if necessary, estimating her personal expenditure at £40,000 all in. When a surprised Attwood asked, "In total? Is that it?", Price hit back: "I could pay for it if I wanted to get it done."
