Katerina Kainourgiou visits priest with baby daughter

Greek television presenter Katerina Kainourgiou has reunited with her spiritual advisor, Father Dimitrios, introducing him to her infant daughter Xenia following her birth earlier this year. The meeting marked one year since Kainourgiou previously visited the cleric to seek a spiritual blessing for motherhood.

Kainourgiou gave birth to Xenia in April 2026. Returning to meet Father Dimitrios, she brought the infant to be blessed by the same priest who had prayed for her during her initial visit.

Kainourgiou is a prominent Greek television personality and host, widely known for presenting national broadcast programs. Father Dimitrios is an Orthodox Christian priest associated with the Church of Saint Isidores, a chapel situated on Lycabettus Hill in central Athens.

Blessing for motherhood

Recalling her visit from the previous year, Kainourgiou explained that she had approached the cleric with a strong desire in her heart to become a mother. She stated that Father Dimitrios had prayed for her, offered his blessing, and provided her with strength and hope at the time.

Reflecting on her return one year later, the presenter described holding her daughter in her arms. She noted that the child who was once a prayer, a longing, and a hope was now present with her, and that the same priest who blessed her path to motherhood had now blessed her baby.

Tribute to Father Dimitrios

Kainourgiou expressed intense emotion and profound gratitude to God for the gift of her child. She also shared her deep appreciation for Father Dimitrios, citing his prayers, blessing, and ongoing spiritual guidance.

She added that certain spiritual figures do not need their gifts explained, as the personal experiences of the people who seek them out serve as sufficient proof, describing Father Dimitrios as one such person.

Call for return to Lycabettus

In her public statement, Kainourgiou expressed a hope that Father Dimitrios would soon return to the Church of Saint Isidores on Lycabettus Hill. She highlighted the site as a venue where numerous visitors had previously met him, found comfort, and gained strength.

She added that she wished to see him back at the landmark location among the people who love him and await his return.

Kainourgiou concluded her message by clarifying her motivation for sharing the experience. She stated that her post was not written to advertise her personal faith, but rather as a gesture of gratitude toward a cleric who demonstrated that truly spiritual and enlightened individuals still exist within the Church.
