American actor John Stamos stripped naked and shocked fans while posing for a racy selfie to celebrate his 63rd birthday on Wednesday.

The Full House alum posted the black-and-white reflection shot taken in a bathroom mirror to his 4.5 million followers on Instagram, captioning the image simply with the number '63'.

The explicit birthday post quickly triggered a surge of responses from social media users and fellow celebrities in the comment section.

Candace Cameron Bure, who played D.J. Tanner alongside Stamos on Full House, commented, 'Happy birthday Uncle J.' Kelly Rizzo, who was married to the late actor and comedian Bob Saget until his death in 2022, added, 'All I can think about is "what would Bob say" right now. happy birthday John I love you!'

Bravo network star Andy Cohen left an assortment of fire emojis under the photo, while actor Milo Manheim, who has been cast in Disney's upcoming live-action remake of Tangled, wrote, 'Happy birthday king.'
One Instagram user joked, 'I don't think that's really you behind the phone. But happy birthday anyway!' while another fan remarked, 'Not John Stamos with the thirst trap.' Multiple followers echoed the famous catchphrase 'Have Mercy', which Stamos frequently delivered as Uncle Jesse on Full House.

Aging, Sobriety and Family Life
Stamos has previously spoken publicly about his perspective on growing older and maintaining his physical health. Speaking to Us Weekly last year, the actor explained, 'I am getting old, although I don't feel it. I take care of myself.'

The star credited his decision to adopt a sober lifestyle for his positive approach to aging. 'I stopped drinking 10 years ago. That's why I'm alive. I never would have met my wife [Caitlin McHugh] if I was still drinking,' Stamos shared.

Stamos and model Caitlin McHugh tied the knot in 2018. Later that same year, the couple welcomed their son, Billy, who is now eight years old.
Reflecting on his career trajectory, Stamos acknowledged that his personal journey influenced his professional growth. 'I'm happy where I'm at in my career, but I think I would be a lot further along if I'd stopped sooner,' he said. 'I got the job done, but I could have done it better, and I could have been more connected.'
Stamos emphasized that building a family transformed his outlook on life, stating that marrying and becoming a father has 'kept me young and kept me alive.'
To maintain his physical fitness, Stamos follows a structured weekly routine. 'I work out three or four times a week. I do this electric muscle-stimulant thing where you put a suit on, but you only wear it for 20 minutes,' he explained. He also highlighted the importance of 'good sleep', noting that 'having a young son helps' keep him active.
Cosmetic Surgery and Career History
Alongside his discussions on fitness and age, Stamos has been open about undergoing cosmetic procedures earlier in his television career. He previously underwent a botched nose job in the 1980s after joining the main cast of the long-running daytime soap opera General Hospital in 1982.
Appearing on The Really Good podcast in June, Stamos revealed that he turned to Michael Jackson's plastic surgeon to repair the initial procedure. 'I broke it when I was a kid. I got hit with a golf club. There was a little scar here,' Stamos said while pointing toward his nose. 'And I was on General Hospital, and I just didn't like the way it looked, and so I got it done.'
After noting that the first procedure 'didn't look great', Stamos detailed the experience further in his 2023 memoir, If You Would Have Told Me. 'When I see it on TV for the first time, it's all I can look at,' he wrote, explaining how self-consciousness prompted the operation. 'Fixating on my nose is beginning to detract from my performance. Plus, the early years of bullying...have me ready to make a change.'
Unsatisfied with the result, Stamos noted that his nose looked 'kind of pushed up like Peter Pan or something.' Consequently, during his next hiatus from filming, he had the procedure redone by Michael Jackson's surgeon.
Recent Events and Disney Fan Appearances
Stamos has maintained a busy schedule of public appearances. Over the past weekend, he attended D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, where he interacted with fans and fellow performers.
Following the Disney convention, Stamos shared a collection of photographs on Instagram to document special moments from the festivities. Among the highlights were lighthearted selfies he snapped alongside musicians Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers.
