Actress Jodie Sweetin has revealed that she and her husband, Mescal Wasilewski, sleep in two separate twin beds pushed together inside a king-size frame with two separate duvets to avoid fighting over blankets at night.

The 44-year-old Full House star disclosed the unconventional sleeping arrangement during an appearance on the Good Guys podcast this week with hosts Josh Peck and Ben Soffer. Sweetin, who married 56-year-old Wasilewski four years ago in 2022, explained that the setup is key to maintaining peace in the bedroom.

She emphasized that having individual covers makes a huge impact on their sleep quality. "I'm telling you - that is the smallest, biggest difference," Sweetin said on the podcast. "I can roll over and wrap myself up like a burrito, he can do whatever, and we're not fighting over it in the middle of the night. So no one wakes up angry that they're cold."

Sweetin insisted that actual sleeping is what drives most couples nuts, rather than sex. She described her husband as a very sensitive sleeper compared to her own deep sleep habits.

"My husband is the lightest, worst sleeper," Sweetin noted. "Once I'm out - takes me a minute to go out - and once I'm out, I'm dead to the world."

She added that their contrasting sleep levels create funny middle-of-the-night dynamics. "There could be bombs going off, and nothing," she said. "[Meanwhile], a mouse whispers downstairs and [my husband is] like, 'Oh my god! I heard it.'"

Sleeping arrangements and independent living

The actress admitted that sharing a bed can present challenges for couples, noting that sometimes "it's a nightmare to sleep with someone else next to you."

Sweetin explained that she and Wasilewski are "very independent people" who value having personal space within their marriage. She outlined their long-term dream for their living arrangements and property.

"Our dream goal sort of thing is to own property somewhere, and I want a few little tiny homes on it," Sweetin opened up. "He gets his tiny home, I get my tiny home, and then there's the middle one."

Marriage history and family background

Wasilewski is Sweetin's fourth husband. The actress pointed out that after being wed multiple times, she has become accustomed to enjoying her own space.

Sweetin was previously married to LAPD officer Shaun Holguin from 2002 to 2006. She then married film transportation coordinator Cody Herpin in 2007, with whom she shares 18-year-old daughter Zoie, before their marriage ended in 2010. From 2012 to 2016, she was married to DJ Morty Coyle, with whom she shares 15-year-old daughter Beatrix.

Sweetin and Wasilewski tied the knot in Malibu in July 2022, six months after announcing their engagement. Following the ceremony, Sweetin spoke about her marriage and expressed optimism for their future together.

"I know I have the right partner for the rest of whatever life brings me," Sweetin told People magazine after tying the knot. "I couldn't be more grateful."

Career highlights and personal struggles

The Los Angeles-born actress gained child stardom as Stephanie Tanner on the beloved ABC sitcom Full House, which ran from 1987 to 1995. Decades later, she reprised her famous role in the Netflix reboot series Fuller House. She also recently opened up about her ongoing bond with former co-star John Stamos, who played Uncle Jesse on the show.

Sweetin has also been open about her struggles with drug addiction following the conclusion of Full House. Reflecting on her journey last year during an appearance on Kailyn Lowry's podcast Barely Famous, Sweetin shared how early fame impacted her personal life.

"I always say, I would have struggled with addiction issues regardless of being on TV or not," Sweetin said on Barely Famous. "And to be fair, that gave me some of the ability to be able to find treatment and find help in ways that I might not have had I not worked as a child. But it's very hard [when] you have to make all your mistakes publicly," she lamented.
