Greek influencer and businesswoman Ioanna Touni is returning to Athens in the coming hours, wrapping up a trip to Paris where she opened her own croissant shop.
Touni had spent recent days in the French capital for the new venture. On Friday, September 11, she told her followers online that she was preparing to head back to Greece.
This time, however, she is not travelling to Thessaloniki, where she is normally based, but to Athens. The reason is her son, Paris, who has been in the Greek capital for around ten days spending time with his father, Dimitris Alexandrou.
Touni revealed in an Instagram story that she could not wait to get back to Athens to collect her son so the two of them could return home together.
"Good morning, today I'm finally going to Athens to get my little Paris!" she wrote, according to the story. She added that until she came back again, people should not expect otherwise, joking that it was time to gather up all her belongings so she could head to the shop and then straight to the airport.
New Croissant Bar in Paris
Touni's return to Greece comes just days after she opened a new chapter in her career. She launched her own Croissant Bar in Paris, a shop where customers can build their croissant exactly as they like, choosing the filling, toppings and garnishes themselves.
She had previously spoken in emotional terms about the project, describing it as a dream that had gone from an idea to reality. She said what people were seeing was not simply a new shop in Paris, but something she had once only pictured in her mind and could now touch, smell and taste.
She also laid out the concept behind the shop, explaining that it is a space where every customer can create their own croissant with different filling and topping options. Touni singled out the shop's pastry chef, revealing that the role is filled by her young cousin.
A personal milestone
For Touni, the Croissant Bar in Paris is more than another business venture. In her original announcement, she described it as symbolising a personal dream and her effort to keep moving forward despite doubts and difficulties.
