Huawei has begun selling the Vision Smart Screen 6 SE RGB, its first television lineup to use RGB MiniLED backlighting. The TVs come in 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch versions priced at $520, $695 and $860 respectively.
Unlike standard MiniLED TVs that rely on white LEDs, the RGB MiniLED panel uses separate red, green and blue light sources. Huawei says this delivers more accurate color reproduction, richer tones and noticeably less halo effect around bright objects thanks to a new lens system.
Color and brightness claims
Huawei says the series covers 105% of the BT.2020 color space and reproduces about 66% more colors than conventional MiniLED TVs. A proprietary backlight control system synchronizes brightness and color for each LED, while artificial intelligence algorithms optimize the picture in real time.
The TVs support a 300Hz refresh rate and carry TUV Rheinland certification confirming flicker-free performance and reduced blue light.
Other features
The series also offers wireless 4K screen mirroring from smartphones, viewing angles up to 178 degrees, HarmonyOS AI search that can find movies by plot, dialogue or characters, smart home integration with video feed display from a door viewer, and a smart art mode that turns the TV into a digital gallery.
