Heidi Klum surprised her son Henry with a red Ferrari F430 to mark his 21st birthday on Saturday, sharing a video of the reveal on Instagram.
The supermodel, 53, filmed the moment from outside their home as the sports car sat waiting on the driveway. The Ferrari F430 costs upwards of six figures, averaging around $200,000.

Henry's stepfather, Tom Kaulitz, led him outside toward the surprise. "I can't believe it is that time. You've been waiting for so many years," Klum told her son in the clip.
Henry gasped when he saw the convertible. "Oh my God! Jesus Christ. I don't even know what to say," he said.

The Mario Kart bet behind the gift
Kaulitz explained in the video that he was holding up his end of a bargain he and Henry had struck years earlier over a video game. He said he bought the Ferrari at a car show "last year" and had been hiding it in their garage "the whole time" leading up to Henry's birthday.
Klum noted that her husband had "kept his promise" to her son. "Literally, it's what? Seven years ago when you guys said that?" she said.

In a follow-up post, Klum revealed the origin of the bet, made when Henry was still a teenager. "It's happening on Christmas, and if I lose Mario Kart, then I can't play video games for three months, and I have to do a painting of me driving," Henry recalled in the clip. "But if I win, then Tom has to give me a Ferrari when I'm 21."

Heidi Klum's four children
Henry is one of four children Klum has raised. Her eldest, Leni, is 22; her biological father is the businessman Flavio Briatore, and she was adopted by Klum's ex-husband, the singer Seal. Klum also shares Johan, 19, and Lou, 16, with Seal.
On the same day as the Ferrari reveal, Klum shared a black-and-white throwback photo of her four children as young kids, wearing birthday hats and smiling at each other. "Henry WOW. Time flies. We love you sooooooo much. Happy 21 Birthday," she wrote in the caption, alongside a string of red heart emojis.

Dinner, drinks and a family getaway
Klum also posted Instagram Stories from the celebration, including a clip of Henry enjoying his "first legal drink." He appeared to mark the occasion with close family over dinner following the surprise. Klum reposted a separate clip from her daughter Leni, who filmed Henry blowing out the candles on his birthday cake.
The birthday surprise came shortly after Klum and Henry enjoyed a family getaway to St. Barts in early August. The supermodel and Kaulitz were celebrating their seventh wedding anniversary at the time and were joined by their eldest children, Leni and Henry.

Henry's bond with his parents
Henry frequently joins his mother on red carpets, and the pair spoke about their close relationship at the American Music Awards in May 2025. He praised his parents as an "inspiration," telling the Daily Mail last year, "Anything that I do, [my parents are] always so supportive." Klum said at the time that she was proud of her son, as well as "all of my kids."
Speaking with People last year, Henry credited his parents with encouraging him to embrace his personal style. "When I was growing up, I was always evolving with my style and just figuring out my own look or just how I feel in different clothing, but that evolved over time," he said. He recalled his parents telling him, "Whatever makes you feel good, whatever can make you feel powerful, make you feel like whoever you want to feel."
