According to a new study, you can get $1,000 for eating cheese before bed.
Mattress review website Sleep Junkie is running a three-month experiment to see if there is any truth to the theory that eating cheese before bed causes nightmares.
The company wants to know if different types of cheese have different effects on sleep.
Five selected ‘cheese testers’ are given a list of cheeses to eat at home and instructed to write down their dreams and nightmares, sleep quality and energy levels.
Sleep Junkie said it is looking for people who are “self-starters, honest, with good writing skills, and both sleep and eat” to take part in the experiment

An algae pill may reduce the time it takes you to fall asleep, researchers say.
They will each receive $1,000 and the cost of the cheese will be reimbursed.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old and own a smart watch or fitness tracker that monitors sleep.
They must also have a consistent sleep schedule, not have trouble sleeping, and not have a milk or lactose intolerance.
Blue, hard, soft and processed cheeses are also on the list, as are vegan and lactose-free cheeses.
The lucky five must eat at the same time every night before bed for a week, with a week’s break between each cheese to ensure accurate results.
Participants must provide sleep quality data collected from their smartwatch, along with a written assessment of their sleep quality, energy levels during the week, and any feedback about dreams and nightmares.
The experiment starts in March and lasts until May.
Sleepjunkie said it’s looking for people who are “self-starters, honest, good writers, and both sleep and eat.”
People must sleep alone during the experiment.
