Giorgos Mylonakis and his wife Tina Messaropoulou visited the Church of Evangelistria on the island of Tinos on August 14 to offer prayers at the shrine. The couple arrived on the island during their summer vacation to mark a peaceful period following a serious health ordeal Mylonakis suffered earlier this year.
The pair were photographed smiling together at the entrance of the landmark cathedral. In a social media post accompanying the photograph, Mylonakis wrote that Her grace was great that day and that wherever they were, they would honor Her.
Mylonakis and Messaropoulou are currently staying on the nearby island of Paros, where they have been taking time to rest and relax alongside close friends. Their visit to Tinos formed part of a quiet summer break after months of intensive medical treatment.
Emergency hospitalization and medical treatment
The trip comes after Mylonakis faced a life-threatening medical emergency on April 15, 2026, when he suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm while at the Maximos Mansion. He was rushed to Evangelismos Hospital in Athens, where surgeons operated on him before he was placed on a ventilator in the intensive care unit.
Following his initial care in Greece, Mylonakis was transferred to a specialized medical rehabilitation center in Germany for further treatment. He completed his recovery abroad and returned home to Greece at the end of May.

The Church of Panagia Evangelistria on Tinos is widely regarded as one of the most prominent Orthodox Christian pilgrimage sites in Greece. Every August, thousands of worshippers travel to the Aegean island to pay tribute to the Virgin Mary during the annual religious celebrations.
