A Ghanaian sorcerer named Paa Dogo has fallen into a coma after discovering his girlfriend with her former lover in Sekondi, Ghana.
The spiritual practitioner collapsed after arriving at the woman's home with flowers on August 22, news portal GhanaWeb reported. When she refused to open the door, Dogo peered through a window and saw the former boyfriend inside.

Spiritual sessions lead to romance
The romance began after a local nurse sought spiritual assistance from Dogo in the Western Region of Ghana. The woman was suffering from a severe nervous breakdown and deep depression after discovering that her previous boyfriend had cheated on her.
Dogo conducted several spiritual sessions with the client to help her regain her emotional balance and peace of mind. During the treatment, the sorcerer fell in love with the nurse. She returned his affection, and the two began dating.
Sudden discovery and hospitalization
The situation unravelled when Dogo arrived at the woman's residence carrying a bouquet of flowers. After she refused to let him in, Dogo looked through the window and recognized the same former partner who had previously broken her heart.
Overwhelmed by the sudden betrayal, Dogo reportedly invoked Jesus and declared that he was finished before losing consciousness on the spot. Bystanders and emergency responders brought the unconscious healer to a nearby hospital, where he remains in a coma under medical care.
Traditional spiritual practice in Ghana
Sekondi, where the incident occurred, is a historical port city on the Gulf of Guinea. Combined with neighboring Takoradi, Sekondi-Takoradi serves as the capital of Ghana's Western Region and acts as a major commercial and transport hub in West Africa.
Throughout Ghana and broader West Africa, traditional spiritualists and witch doctors hold an established social role alongside conventional healthcare. Practitioners are commonly consulted for personal counseling, emotional healing, and spiritual remedies during personal crises.
