France's biggest television channels are staggering the return of their flagship programmes over more than a month, with some shows back on screens this Monday, August 24, others waiting until August 31, and a handful not returning until September or even October.
French newspaper La Depeche compiled a day-by-day schedule of when viewers can expect their favourite hosts and programmes to resume for the new season, spanning channels including TF1, France 2, France 3, France 5, M6, W9, TMC, TFX, La Chaine l'Equipe and RMC Life.
Monday, August 24 returns
The season opens with a wave of morning and daytime staples. Among them:
- Bruce Toussaint's Bonjour! at 6:55am on TF1
- Maya Lauque's Telematin at 6:30am on France 2
- Christophe Beaugrand's Bonjour, avec vous at 10am on TF1
- Julien Courbet's Ca peut vous arriver at 9:45am on M6
- Faustine Bollaert's Ca commence aujourd'hui at 3:05pm on France 2
- Julia Vignali's Affaire conclue at 4:20pm on France 2
- Bruno Guillon and Sidonie Bonnec's Tout le monde a son mot a dire at 6:05pm on France 2
- Gregory Ascher's L'Equipe de Greg at 6:30pm on La Chaine l'Equipe
- La villa des coeurs brises at 8pm on TFX
- Scenes de menages, beginning its 18th season, at 8:40pm on M6
Rest of August
Denis Brogniart's Koh-Lanta All Stars returns the following day, Tuesday, August 25, at 9:10pm on TF1.
The weekend of August 30 brings back two more France 2 programmes: Benjamin Duhamel's Franc jeu at 1:15pm and Frederic Lopez's Un dimanche a la campagne at 4:10pm.
Monday, August 31 is a bigger day for returns, with Laurent Maistret's Les apprentis aventuriers at 5:25pm on W9, Cyril Hanouna's Tout beau, tout n9uf at 6:20pm on W9, Yann Barthes's Quotidien at 6:20pm on TMC, and Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine's C a vous at 6:55pm on France 5.
September premieres
September opens with Laurence Boccolini's On connait la chanson returning Tuesday, September 1, at 9:20pm on W9, alongside Karine Ferri's La vie secrete des chats at 9pm on RMC Life.
Cleaners, les experts du menage follows on Wednesday, September 2, at 9:10pm on TFX, and Recherche appartement ou maison, fronted by four estate agents, resumes Thursday, September 3, at 9pm on M6.
Friday, September 4 sees three primetime shows return together: Camille Combal's Qui sera le plus nul at 9:10pm on TF1, Stephane Bern's La carte aux tresors at 9:10pm on France 3, and Philippe Etchebest's Cauchemar en cuisine at 9:10pm on M6.
The following Sunday, September 6, brings Gregoire Margotton's Telefoot at 10:40am on TF1 and Animaux a adopter, hosted by Sandrine Arcizet and Elodie Ageron, at 7:40pm on TMC. A day later, Flavie Flament's Le mag de la sante returns at 3pm on France 2 and Diego Bunuel's Thalassa at 9pm on France 5.
Late-season returns
Lea Salame's Quelle epoque! comes back on Saturday, September 19, at 10:40pm on France 2.
The last of the listed returns comes later still: Bernard Montiel's Samedi d'en rire resumes on Saturday, October 3, at 1:30pm on France 3.
