Finneas O'Connell Marries Claudia Sulewski in Montecito

Musician Finneas O'Connell married beauty influencer Claudia Sulewski in a lush garden setting at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California, on Saturday, surrounded by close family and star-studded friends. San Ysidro Ranch is a historic luxury resort nestled in the foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountains, famous as a secluded destination for high-profile celebrity weddings in Santa Barbara County.

Justin Bieber, 32, and wife Hailey, 29, were among the star-studded guests at Billie Eilish's brother Finneas O'Connell's wedding to longtime girlfriend Claudia Sulewski on Saturday

The 29-year-old Grammy winner and his 30-year-old bride exchanged vows in front of an A-list gathering that included Justin Bieber and wife Hailey. O'Connell's pop star sister, Billie Eilish, 24, reportedly had the honor of officiating the ceremony for the couple.

Eilish attended the nuptials wearing an off-the-shoulder, olive-green gown alongside her boyfriend, 31-year-old actor Nat Wolff. Beyond her role at the wedding, Eilish, a 10-time Grammy Award winner, is preparing for her big-screen acting debut in the upcoming movie The Bell Jar.

The star-studded guest list featured numerous prominent figures across entertainment and digital media. Attendees gathered at San Ysidro Ranch included actress Nina Dobrev, actress Kristen Bell and her husband Dax Shepard, content creator Emma Chamberlain, actress Rachel Sennott, influencer Stassie Karanikolaou, actor Jason Sudeikis, and music executive Carter Gregory.

Custom Oscar de la Renta Bridal Fashion

Sulewski selected four distinct dresses custom made for the weekend event by luxury fashion house Oscar de la Renta, according to Vogue. Her bridal wardrobe began with a bias-cut creation with a draping back for the rehearsal dinner, followed by a formal ballgown featuring a drop-waist bodice and a bell-shaped skirt for the garden ceremony.

For the evening party, Sulewski changed into a reception dress adorned with feathers to get the dance floor started. She completed the celebration weekend wearing a pink and dove-gray after-party frock. O'Connell, born Finneas Baird O’Connell, wore a classic black tuxedo for the wedding.

Romance From Dating App to Musical Muse

O'Connell and Sulewski have been together since meeting on the exclusive dating app Raya in 2018. As O'Connell previously revealed in an interview with BuzzFeed, he was so taken with Sulewski that he wrote his song "Claudia" within hours of meeting her for the first time.

The song featured the lyrics: "Oh, I'm in trouble now / Come kiss me black and blue / Might last another round / But I'm gonna fall for you." Sulewski also served as the inspiration and muse for his 2022 song "Mona Lisa, Mona Lisa," and she starred in and directed the track's phone-recorded music video.

Helicopter Mountaintop Proposal Operation

The couple got engaged last October after seven years of dating, following a proposal on a remote mountainside (also documented in September 2025 photos). O'Connell later shared on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle that he used their seventh anniversary as a "Trojan horse" to stage a highly calculated, secret operation.

O'Connell explained how he surprised Sulewski by driving her to the airport under the pretense of a simple trip. "I think she thought we were going to go do a little staycation at a beach," he told the show. "I was relying on her to be distracted by getting ready in the morning, and maybe sending a work email or something. And I drove her to the airport. She was like, 'Why are we at the airport?' We got on a helicopter, and I was like, 'We're taking a helicopter to a private campsite in the mountains,' and I brought a private chef with us. And so he cooked food for us, and then he got back on the helicopter and left."

He added: "We were marooned on the mountainside, and then we just had this really beautiful day out in nature. And then, I did ask [her to marry me]."

O'Connell admitted he was extremely nervous before proposing, especially when trying to hide the engagement ring from Sulewski. "The ring was in a sock wrapped around another sock in my suitcase. And then there was one point where it was about to happen, and I was, like, 'Hang on. One second.' It was just lies all day," he quipped.

He continued: "And I ran around, and I heard the ring, like, rattling in the box in my pocket. And so I went and hid behind a bush and untied the thing and opened it and tucked it back in its little slot, and then was, like, walking in a sort of ballet pose."

Hands-On Wedding Planning

Earlier this year, Sulewski praised O'Connell for wanting to be actively involved in planning their wedding. In a video shared to YouTube, the influencer expressed her excitement about her fiancé's enthusiasm for the preparations.

"Finneas has had more input than I think he thought he would have, which is exciting for me because I don't want to feel like I'm planning all this by myself," Sulewski said in the video. "I've been really surprised by how many opinions my fiancé has had, and I love it because I want him to feel ownership of this special day for us."

While Sulewski insisted she would not be a "bridezilla," she noted that she wanted to remain hands-on throughout the process. "As you guys can imagine, yes, I have PDFs, table inspo, florals, seating for the ceremony. I actually think that I will broadly be a Type B bride because I'm a very chill person. Like, I'm not stressed about the scheduling of everything," she said.

She added: "I'm not stressed about what weekend it lands on. There's a lot of things that I am excited to just kind of go with the flow about and let the wedding plan itself."
