Netflix has released a full trailer for its upcoming one That show from the 70s follow-up series That show from the 90s. The trailer puts the main focus on all of the new young characters and we get a better idea of what they look like in the series. But it’s towards the end of the trailer that the original stars are reintroduced and included Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Wilmer Valderramaand Tommy Chong. While it’s fun to see them, they won’t be the main focus of the show.
In the new series, “It’s 1995 and Leia Forman is desperate for some adventure in her life or at least a best friend other than her father. When she arrives at Point Place to visit her grandparents, Red (Kurtwood Smith) and Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp), Leia finds what she’s looking for right beside her when she meets the dynamic and rebellious Gwen. With the help of Gwen’s friends, including her adorable brother Nate, his smart and laser-focused girlfriend Nikki, the sarcastic and perceptive Ozzie and the charming Jay, Leia realizes that adventure could happen right there. as happened to his parents many years ago. . Eager to reinvent herself, she convinces her parents to let her stay for the summer. With a basement full of teenagers again, Kitty is happy that the Forman house is now a home for a new generation and Red is, well… Red.
The series is also starring Callie Haverda, Ashley Aufderheide, Coronel mace, Maxwell Donovan, Reyn Doiand Sam Morelo. The creators also return to Point Place Bonnie and Terry Turnerand are joined by their daughter Lindsay Turner as well as showrunner/executive producer Greg Mettler.
Bonnie Turner previously said, “They change physically, they change emotionally, their lives have changed, their goals have changed. It was just great story fodder.”
Added Terry Turner: “Setting it up just over the summer takes the whole school out of the way and having to go to class, which we found out on the original show, that wasn’t where it was interesting. It was more interesting in the basement…also , people change where they leave. They come back nine months later and when they’re teenagers, sometimes there’s a radical change, sometimes there’s not. But sometimes people have decided to take a completely different path.”
