A trailer has been released for a new interesting horror thriller that has a very creepy atmosphere. It is entitled Landlocked and centers around an old VHS camcorder that can see into the past. It’s actually a pretty cool concept, and it also incorporates real footage in the form of childhood home movies.
In the film, “Summoned to his soon-to-be-demolished childhood home, Mason discovers an old VHS video camera that he can see into the past, prompting him to record as many memories as possible before the doomed home is destroyed. Using the director’s home movies, shooting in the real places where he spent his youth, and casting real-life family members to play fictional versions of themselves, Landlocked combines storytelling and documentary with horror and science fiction to create a film unlike any other… “
As you watch the trailer, you feel that something sinister is happening. This is very unconventional found footage, and I appreciate it!
This marks his feature film directorial debut Paul Owensand the cast includes real-life family members playing fictional versions of themselves.
Dark Sky Film Landlocked will be released digitally, VOD and in select theaters on January 6, 2023.
