The new Red Band trailer for THE LEGEND OF VOX MACHINA Season 2 ups the ante

The Legend of Vox Machinathe animated series based on the very famous Dungeons & Dragons live stream game Critical role, is returning for a new season. Starting January 20, three episodes will be released each week for a total of 12 episodes available on Prime Video. This season is upping the ante by having our unlikely heroes face off against four dragons known as the Chroma Conclave who are bent on world domination. The show stars the Critical Role cast: Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Liam O’Brien, Matthew Mercer, Marisha Ray, Sam RigelAnd Travis Willingham who all do a fantastic job reprising their characters. The new guest cast featured in Season 2 includes Will Friedl, Billy Boyd, Henry Winkler, Lance Reddick, Summer creates, Alanna Ubach, Cheech Marine, Slutty Baker, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Ralph InesonAnd Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. The returning guest cast includes Stephanie Beatriz, Indira Varma, Gina Torres, Kelly HuAnd Esme Creed-Miles.

The new trailer gives us a brief taste of the kind of danger four dragons can bring. From the frost and acid breath to their massive size and the destructive power they alone can bring, Vox Machina certainly has their work cut out for them this season. Last season concluded with their triumphant return from White Stone and marks the point where I’m no longer familiar with their history, so it’s all going to be new to me, which is exciting. Go back and listen Critical role listening to the story is an incredibly daunting task, with so many episodes each lasting 3-4 hours, sometimes more.

I’m glad they’re making this show so I can enjoy a more streamlined version of the story. Based on the trailer, the show will be as violent and irreverent as the first season, but hopefully still worth a watch.
