Lot of Star Wars game fans are big fans of CameronMonaghanCal Kestis character from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the imminent Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. He’s a great character with an interesting story, and fans have been wondering if he’ll show up in live-action one day!
There were many rumors of him appearing in a couple of Lucasfilm series, but there was no truth to those rumors. You’d think there would have to be some sort of plan to bring this character into a live-action project, but if there is, Monaghan isn’t saying anything!
During a recent interview with EW, the actor was asked what it would mean to him if he ever got the chance to play Cal in live-action, and this was his answer:
“I love this character. They’re starting to explore it through other mediums — we have a novel on the way. It’s been really cool to do that within the gaming space because I think games are vastly underexplored and underutilized, and they’re really getting their due just right now: people look at games and see that they’re amazing and heartwarming and significant. So my priority right now is making sure we have a satisfying story arc within the games. No one knows what’s going on or where Star Wars wants to go, but I can tell that I love Cal and it’s been a joy to find him over the last few years. So we’ll see.”
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Cal make his live-action debut one day, I just don’t know when that will happen or what series it will be. There are certainly many opportunities, but Lucasfilm has to find the right one.
