The story was published in 1985 and stars Robert De Niro, Jonathan Pryce and is about Sam Lowry, who escapes his boring everyday life through dreams in which he becomes a hero who saves a beautiful princess. Chrono

From the twisted mind of Guillermo del Toro, we have a horror movie you didn’t want to show at Christmas, “Chronos”. Starring Ron Perlman, Daniel Giménez Cacho and others, it follows an alchemist who wants to find the recipe for eternal life. But after his death, he takes all the secrets with him, and now an old man wants to find the device with amazing powers. Available on Amazon Prime Video.

Fanny and Alexander

Directed by the incredible Ingmar Bergman and starring Bertil Guve and Pernilla Allwin we have 1982 ‘Fanny and Alexander’. The story follows two siblings who lead a quiet life with their parents running a theatre. But it is when their father dies that the little ones end up in a joyless home with their mother Emilie, who is about to marry a bishop.

the long day ends

A little away from the best-known titles or directors, we have ‘The Long Day Ends’, directed by Terence Davies, released in 1992. It is a story with Marjorie Yates, who brings Bud, a 12-year-old boy to life. an elderly boy who belongs to a working-class family, and who has a very close relationship with his mother, with whom they share a passion for cinema.

kiss of death

Finally we have a black and white film released in 1947 and directed by Henry Hathaway, ‘Kiss of Death’. Starring Victor Mature, the story follows a New York man who is arrested after a jewelry store robbery. When he is convicted, the prosecutor offers him a deal to get probation if he gives him the names of his comrades.
