In less than two weeks ‘Avatar: The sense of water’ will be released, sequel to ‘Avatar’, a film released in theaters in 2009 and which currently boasts the feat of being the highest-grossing film in history. Like the first installment, the director and screenwriter of this new adventure is James Camerondirector responsible for popular titles such as “Aliens: the return”, “Titanic” or “Terminator”.

On the occasion of the upcoming premiere of ‘Avatar 2’, Cameron is the protagonist of numerous interviews in which, in addition to promoting his new project, he also has the time to talk and share information about some of his past works. The most recent case concerns ‘Titanic’, which revealed information about Kate Winslet, actress who starred in the film with Leonardo DiCaprio and with whom he worked again in “Avatar: The sense of water”.
In an interview with Radio Times (via Yahoo Movies), the director revealed that he thinks Winslet, who played Rose, was traumatized after filming “Titanic” due to the scale of the project: “I think Kate came out of Titanic a little traumatized by the scale of the production and her responsibility within it.” 25 years later, Cameron and Winslet are back together on ‘Avatar: The Sense of Water’, something they haven’t done since 1997 when ‘Titanic’ premiered. Cameron also spoke about this professional reunion: “We both looked forward to working together again to see what becomes of each other at this point in our lives and careers.” Furthermore, the director acknowledged the great importance that the actress had during the filming: “She’s huge and quickly takes over everything on set. You’d swear she’s a producer on the movie!”
In “Avatar: The Sense of Water,” Winslet plays Ronal, the matriarch of the Metkayina clan, a people who live on the coral reefs of Pandora. Thirteen years after the premiere of “Avatar”, which was nominated for an Oscar in the categories of Best Picture, Best Visual Effects and Best Director, the long-awaited sequel opens on December 16th. In “Avatar 2”, chronologically set more than 10 years after the events of the first installment, they reprise their acting roles as Zoe Saldaña, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang and are joined by new names such as Michelle Yeoh, Kate Winslet and David Thewlis.
