Henry Cavill leaves “The Witcher” and with his departure, several colleagues have spoken. The most awaited words, however, were those of Joey Batey, who plays the character of Dandelion, the bard who accompanies Geralt de Rivia and recounts his adventures to the sound of a lute.

Batey expressed, in an interview for Dexerto, the deep sadness at Cavill’s abandonment: “I’ve talked to Henry, we’ve written a bit…he’s a very good friend. I sent him a message saying that everyone on the show would miss him, especially me, because we have a very close relationship. We’ve spent the past four years, you know, clipping these stories”.
Cavill put a face to the series during the first three seasons, embodying the role of Geralt of Rivia. Liam Hemsworth will be in charge of replacing him as Geralt in season 4, which has yet to be registered. However, among the fandom of the series there is an air of a certain decline, given that with the actor’s farewell the face and spirit that pushed ‘The Witcher’ to its third season are gone.
Superman returns, for how long?
Henry Cavill’s departure appears to be directly related to Superman’s return. The actor recently confirmed that he will be returning to the DC Universe with new projects, although they didn’t specify which ones or for how long. James Gunn and Peter Safran, new heads of Warner’s superhero franchise, are preparing a grand unified plan for the next decade, but what the role of the Kryptonian will be remains to be seen.
