The ‘Titanic’ director is back in a sci-fi adventure where once again the whole world will be able to enter Pandora when the sequel hits the big screen in December and Guillermo del Toro has acknowledged the work of James Cameron as “an extraordinary achievement” along with a message on Twitter.
The Mexican director, famous for works such as ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’ or ‘The Shape of Water’ confessed that ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ “is full of majestic landscapes and emotions on an epic scale” and recognizes James Cameron as “A teacher at the peak of his strength”, thus acclaiming the work of this long-awaited sequel which will be released in cinemas in a few days.

Both James Cameron and Guillermo del Toro have been recognized by film experts as two of the most famous directors of industry, who have dared to work in the field of science fiction over the years and their results have been stunning and acclaimed by both critics and the public.
‘Avatar 2’ opens in December and a new story begins
According to the 2022 release calendar, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ will be released in theaters on December 16, although in Mexico and Latin America it will arrive a day earlier, and its story will not only bring it back to the world in Pandora, but a new journey of adventure and fantasy will begin.
‘Avatar: El camino del agua’, due to its Spanish dub translation, will begin with a 5-film saga that James Cameron planned to finish in December 2028, with the premiere of 3 more films about this amazing world that has become into a landmark for sci-fi cinema over the years.
The success of this long-awaited sequel will set the course for the next three Avatar films, of which number 3 has already been recorded and if they manage to succeed at the box office, as the first installment did, James Cameron does not rule out the idea to make a sixth and seventh installment of this saga that has just begun in a few days.
