Taylor Sheridan and Sylvester Stallone’s detective series Tula King was officially renewed for a second season by Paramount+. I don’t know if you’ve watched this show, but it’s damn awesome! I’m a fan, so I’m happy to know that we will have another season.
The show’s ratings were strong and the series premiere drew 3.7 million viewers, making it the best new linear cable premiere of 2022. In the series, Stallone plays Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a mob boss who is released from prison after 25 years and then sent to Tulsa, OK. where he quickly sets out to establish his own criminal empire.
Chris McCarthyChairman and CEO of Paramount Media Networks and MTV Entertainment Studios said in a statement: “Tula King marked as the new series no. 1 of the year, surpassing all others, including the game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragonwith its premiere on the Paramount Network and on Paramount+, it broke records, bringing us to our biggest new shooting day in history, which is why we immediately greenlighted season two. Tula King with Mayor of Kingston, 1883 and the imminent 1923undeniably confirm the success of our franchise strategy Yellowstone and use it to power streaming growth, none of which would be possible without the creative mind of Taylor Sheridan.
Tanya GilesChief Programming Officer of Paramount Streaming, added: “With the combination of the incomparable Sylvester Stallone and Taylor Sheridan’s darkly comic spin on the beloved mob genre, we have found our latest hit in Tula King. The series premiere on Paramount+ helped create a record day of recording fueled by our unique ability as Paramount Global to tap into Paramount Network’s ‘Yellowstone’ incredible audience.”

It’s a fun and fresh show that audiences are really embracing largely thanks to its star, Sylvester Stallone. The series is also starring Andrea Savage, Max Casella, Martin Starr, Domenik Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza, Jay Will, Garret Hedlund, AC Peterson, And Dana Delany.
I can’t wait to see how the story of the series evolves over the course of the second season.
