A Little Life: James Norton stars in the West End adaptation of Hanya Yanagihara’s best-selling novel.

James Norton will direct the West End stage adaptation of Hanya Yanagihara’s best-selling book A little life. The emotional story, nominated for the 2015 Booker Prize, follows four colleagues in New York. Ivo van Hove (Network, Hedda Gabler) will perform its 12-week run at the Harold Pinter Theater from March 25.

More actors Bridgetons Luke Thompson, Omari Douglas (It is a sin), Zach Wyatt (The Witcher), Eliot Cowan (The crown), Zubin Varla (Tammy Faye), Natalie Armin (power of the majority) and Emilio Doorgasingh (kite runner).

The four friends consist of aspiring actor Willem (Thompson), successful architect Malcolm (Wyatt), struggling artist JB (Douglas) and wonderful lawyer Jude (Norton). As ambition, addiction and pride threaten to tear the group apart, they are always bound by their love for Jude and the mysteries of his past. But as these mysteries are uncovered, they eventually learn that finding Jude St. To know Francis is to understand love’s limitless potential in the face of life.

This will be the English language premiere of the play; van Hove previously performed it in Dutch.

“The book is somewhat of a mystery because it became a huge bestseller,” Van Hove told BBC News. “It’s quite strange because it’s about horrible things, about a traumatic experience that haunts someone for the rest of their life.” He also told the BBC that the running time would be reduced to three hours and 40 minutes.

Sales of the novel were modest upon publication, but word of mouth took it to over 2.5 million copies. Ticket sales for the production of Harold Pinter begin today.
