Quentin Tarantino Regrets Not Taking Action Against Harvey Wenstein – AP (Agency)
The name of Harvey Wenstein, who started the #MeToo movement a few years ago, was one of the most important in the Hollywood industry. But after the allegations against him, he was completely written off from any production. However, Quentin Tarantino admits he regretted not taking action when he discovered the actions he had committed.
During his tour to promote the release of his new book, Cinema Speculation, Quentin Tarantino commented that he “to regret” don’t talk to Harvey Wenstein after learning of several actresses’ sexual abuse allegations against the producer. It was during the show “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace”, where the director admitted that he knew about Wenstein’s behavior.
in conversation, Quentin Tarantino said so “I had never heard the stories” around Harvey Wenstein, and that he downplayed the things he knew at the time: “I wish I had told Harvey about it, told him he couldn’t do those things. But to be honest, I pictured the whole thing as a Mad Men situation where the boss chases his secretary around the desk. I’m not saying it’s right, but that’s how I thought about it.”

Of, Quentin Tarantino explains why he didn’t take action against Harvey Weinstein: “It was a very difficult conversation to have,” he confessed. “I felt like it was pathetic, that what I was doing was pathetic, and I didn’t want to face that ridiculousness. I didn’t think it was like, “Okay, do it for me and I’ll put you in this movie,” I’ve never heard any actress say that. But I’ve heard comments like “don’t ride the limousine with him” or something like that.

Quentin Tarantino and his relationship with Harvey Wenstein
Despite hearing comments about it, the director wanted to talk “man to man” with Harvey, however, he could not do it. In 2017, Mira Sorvino, Tarantino’s ex-girlfriend, confessed to him that the producer had also abused her: “I knew enough to do more than what I did”.
“There were more than normal rumors and gossip, they didn’t come from anywhere else. I know I did a couple of these things and I wish I took responsibility for what I heard.” Even when he was aware of the rumours, Tarantino has never spoken publicly about who produced his films and most of his films. Hollywood hits.
In the past, in a conversation with Joe Rogan, Tarantino admitted that many of the directors, producers and actors who had worked with Wenstein knew about his actions, but no one dared to speak about them. What until now continues to affect the rest of the industry.
