Chris HemsworthThor’s last appearance in the MCU has arrived Thor: Love and thunder, and was met with mixed reactions from critics and fans alike. The film concluded by teasing Thor’s continuing adventures with a new young sidekick, which set up an interesting future for the character.
While we don’t know what Thor’s next chapter holds, Hemsworth believes that perhaps his next Thor movie could be his last. close the book on the character. He said:
“I feel like we should probably close the book if I did it again, you know what I mean? I feel like it probably justifies it. I feel like it would probably be the ending.
“You have this birth of a hero, a hero’s journey, then a hero’s death, and I don’t know… am I at that stage? Who knows?”
If you talk about it like this, you definitely feel like you’re on stage! Now, there was a time Hemsworth said that Thor: Love and thunder could be his last Thor movie:
“Well, the last one [Marvel movie] I made “Thor: Love and Thunder” and it could be my last Marvel movie, I don’t know. It was a wild, funny and whimsical experience, as all Taika Waititi films are. I’ve been playing that character for ten, eleven years now, and every time it’s been new and exciting, and this one was no exception. It felt very fresh and felt like we were trying something we’ve never tried before. According to Taika, I was a wacky, wild, romantic comedy set in space.”
But now that won’t be his last Thor movie. I just think Hemsworth is ready to drop the character. At this point he wants every new Thor movie to be the last!
