‘Bachelor In Paradise’: Justin rejects Eliza after she leaves the beach to try to win him back

I think I only realized that when you left. I think that’s when I realize I made the wrong decision. So I’m closing things off with Rodney. Justin’s surprise at seeing Eliza at his door was written all over his face and he admitted he was “speechless.” However, despite his previous strong feelings for Eliza, he wasn’t ready to take her back on the spot. “You told Rodney [on the beach] that you deserve someone who chooses you first without hesitation, and that’s exactly how I feel right now,” admitted Justin. “I want someone who is so confident in me and chooses me without hesitation. I chose Rodney. It hurts. I know it took a long time to have that conversation with him and then come here, I don’t take it for granted. It’s like…why did it have to come to this?

Eliza realized where Justin was coming from and told him that he had “screwed up”. She admitted that she “should have cast it” from the start. Unfortunately, Justin still hasn’t been convinced. “I’m realizing that I might be picking people and putting them first and prioritizing what I want, but if I’m not getting that in return, maybe it’s time to pick myself,” he insisted. “I’m sorry. I know this isn’t the answer you’re looking for.”

Even visibly upset, Eliza couldn’t resist. “I can’t fight what you think is right for you,” she told Justin, before leaving the house. However, in a confessional, she was more open about how she felt about the situation. Eliza was really frustrated with Justin how he reacted. “I know I made a mistake and it’s my fault, but I came right back,” she said. “I’ve flown all over the country and I just know [him] for three days. This is a lot. Ok I was wrong I understand but this is me apologizing and proving it [him]🇧🇷 If that’s not enough, it tells me what I need to hear. Definitely not what I expected. I’m going home.” And just like that, season 8’s biggest love triangle has come to a close.
