Jenna Ortega Says SCREAM 6 Will Be Action and Gore Heavy and Reference Sidney Prescott

Scream 6 is in post-production and fans of the franchise are curious what the next film will bring us as it will have some big changes. First of all, Neve Campbell she won’t be returning to play Sidney Prescott because she was underrated. It sucks that she won’t come back, but I understand why she hasn’t come back. The other change is that the story is set in New York instead of Woodsboro, which is the franchise’s first.

Jenna Ortega plays Tara Carpenter in the new Scream films, and while speaking with Entertainment Tonight he revealed some details about the film. When asked about Campbell’s choice not to be a part of the project, she said:

“I feel like I can’t talk too much about it just because it’s not necessarily my character. But I will say that there is so much going on in this next one, that it is so action packed and so heavy that I think you will almost be distracted.

“But it’s very clear, there are obviously references to Sydney. You know, it’s nice because there’s still a protection in the script and that’s something the actors naturally had on her because we obviously respect her and want the best for her. She missed and thought.

So, confirm here that at least Sidney will be referenced in the film, but the producers should have paid her what it’s worth to be a part of it. That would have been the best option. I also want to point out that her commentary on the film is full of action and gore, which I’m sure the fans will appreciate. Earlier he teased this by saying:

“Ghostface becomes much more intimidating. I’ve just read part of the script and it’s getting more and more gory. I think this is probably the most aggressive and violent version of Ghostface we’ve ever seen, and I think it’s going to be really fun to shoot.”

Scream 6 star Melissa Barrara he also spoke previously about why this move is actually an advantage for the assassin, despite the notion that it might be harder to find what you’re looking for in a huge, crowded city, saying:

“It’s about 20 times more mortifying. It’s awful. Because you also see how, in a city like New York City, everyone is doing their own thing and somebody is screaming for help, and nobody is going to come to their aid. Nobody is coming to help them, you know, like , everyone’s like, ‘I’m not getting into it.’ So it’s mortifying, because you’re being chased by Ghostface, but you’re also seeing humanity and how they react in a situation like that. Anyway, I think I’ve already said too much.”

The cast also includes Jasmine Savoy Brown like Mindy, Freemason Gooding like Chad, Samara texture, Liana Liberato, Hayden Panettiere such as Kirby, e Dermot Mulroney. Courtney Cox he also previously confirmed his involvement.

Both Matt Bettinelli-Opin And Tyler Gillette returns to direct the sixth film, together with the screenwriters of Scream 5, James Vanderbilt And Guy Busic. Kevin Williamsonauthor of the first three originals He shouted film, serves as executive producer.

Scream 6 is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 31, 2023.
