Star Wars is getting a new miniatures game from Asmodee and Atomic Mass Games. Star Wars: Breaking Point was recently announced as a new miniature skirmish game for release in June 2023. Players will build a strike team of iconic characters from a galaxy far, far away and then lead them into battle against teams that your friends they put together. Really, just imagine what kind of crazy story/moment you could create by fusing Star Wars: The Armada, Star Wars: X-WingAnd Breaking point! Kick off the weekend with a large-scale space battle, zoom in a bit on some smaller ships, and then take on each other on the planet below or something. It looks fantastic!
Shatterpoint will feature “beautifully sculpted and dynamic miniatures” by Star Wars characters. You can then create squads from your favorite moments in Star Wars story or create your own unique teams that would otherwise be impossible. Maybe someone wants to team Jar Jar Binks with Grogu and Thrawn for memes. I don’t know if any of those characters would be available, but if they were, it might be possible to create that team. I’m definitely interested in learning more Breaking point. Miniature games like this have always appealed to me, but the prices have always kept me out.
