Gravitas Ventures has released a trailer for another documentary that will focus on the legendary criminal DB Cooper. The document is titled I’m DB Cooperand tells the story of the unsolved mystery that has captured people’s imaginations since the 1970s.
The film is half documentary and half narrative with extensive flashbacks and recreations following Cooper, and imagine how he managed to get away with it. It also focuses on a man who claims to be Cooper and says the money he took is still buried and the documentary team sets out to find it.
Here is the synopsis:
Two bounty hunter brothers meet a sick old man named Rodney Bonnifield as they coordinate his bail after a violent encounter at a dairy farm involving a machete. Close to his sentencing, he reveals to the servants not only was he responsible for the infamous hijacking of the DB Cooper plane, but the ransom money is still buried and he needs their help digging it up. Now against the clock with Rodney’s prison sentence looming, the group embarked on a modern treasure hunt to recover the money he buried on the Columbia River 50 years ago, uncovering bizarre truths about Rodney Bonnifield and his connection to the only plane. unsolved hijacking in US history.
I’m DB Cooper is directed by TJ Regan (Gap year) and will be released in selected American theaters and on VOD starting December 9, 2022.
